TIM MEYER

Board Chair

Tim was one of the original board members and also located the current facility for the club. He has served as President, Vice President, and Treasurer and is currently serving as Chairman of the Board. Tim has helped start and manage clubs in other areas of the country. Tim is retired from the US Air Force after 23 years in the Comptroller Field. He is also serving as Past President and CEO of the York County Chamber of Commerce, a 501(c) 3 entity. Tim is a volunteer and is involved in the community through Kiwanis International. He is professionally employed as a Managing Partner with Chantel Ray Real Estate, and has worked in real estate for more than 20 years.

Tim has two degrees one in Instructional Technology and the other in Resources Management. Tim is married to his sweetheart, Cindy, formerly of Wildwood, Ohio, for more than 40 years. Tim and Cindy have three sons, Adam, Tim Jr. and Jonathan. They have two grandchildren.


DOUG WISNIEWSKI

By-laws Chair

Doug started his sobriety journey by walking in the front door of Triangle Stepping Stones in January 2000.  He has a service position in his home group and a service position at the Historic Triangle District 38 level. 

Doug served a 34-year active duty career in the Coast Guard at posts all over the country in a variety of at-sea and shore positions. After retiring from the Coast Guard, Doug was named Principal in a national defense consulting firm in Alexandria, VA working 12 years primarily with the U.S. Navy’s nuclear deterrent mission. 

Doug has been married 44 years to his high school sweetie, and they have two daughters and three grandkids.  His hobbies include flying, fitness, travel to far flung places, and one day he hopes to learn to play harmonica and how to type. 


James Sadler

James Sadler has been a resident of Williamsburg off and on since 1978 and a member of the recovery community since 2000.  James has been a participant in the Williamsburg recovery service structure since returning to the area in 2015.  He was Williamsburg Area Intergroup Chairperson and Treasurer, and also served in the AA service structure at the district level in several other cities.  Currently in the real estate industry, James has previously worked as a restaurant owner and manager, a recovery peer specialist, and costumed employee in Colonial Williamsburg.  Personal interests include passenger rail travel, folk guitar, American history, ethnic cuisines, and chess.


DOUG BEVELACQUA

Doug Bevelacqua has been serving people with substance abuse problems in Virginia for 35 years. He served on the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (CSB), the Virginia’s State Board for Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, Virginia’s Substance Abuse Services Council, SAMPSA’s National Advisory Council for Substance Abuse Prevention, the Board of Serenity House (a half-way house for recovering alcoholics), and numerous other boards and commissions.

Prior to serving as Virginia’s Inspector General for Behavioral Health and Developmental Services system under then Governor Bob McDonnell, he founded, operated, and sold several large companies specializing in constructing buildings for DoD and other public-sector agencies in the mid-Atlantic. Doug holds a B.A. in Philosophy and Religious Studies and an M.Ed. in Community and Addictions Counseling from W&M. Doug Bevelacqua is a native of Newport News. He has been living in Williamsburg with his wife Robynn since 2003 – where they have two grandchildren living down the street. He has been active in the recovering community since 1982.


DAN SYRJALA

Dan is a resident of Williamsburg and has been a part of the local recovery community since February, 5th 2018. He participates in multiple fellowships. He has filled out a term of service as an intergroup representative for his homegroup, serves as a residential live-in peer leader for a local recovery house, and has helped to start and maintain a meeting/fellowship which was new to the Williamsburg area. He spends his free time reading and learning as well as enjoying meditation, hiking, kayaking, amateur photography, animals, music and art festivals. He is employed as an arborist and team leader in the field of arboriculture around the greater Williamsburg area.

 

CHRIS SUSALIS

Chris is a resident of the Williamsburg area, and has been active in the area's recovery community since April 27, 2014. He is a veteran of over 20 years of active U.S. Coast Guard service and 10 years civil service. Currently, he is an adjunct professor at the Virginia Peninsula Community College teaching information technology classes. Otherwise, he can be found playing guitar and bass with friends and family, learning the latest technology hacks, trying various arts and crafts, or just enjoying time spent  with his family when he's not hanging with his recovery family.

Steven Rilee has lived and worked in the Williamsburg VA area for 47 years and has been involved with the recovery community since 2002. Over the years Steven has held service positions at a local level for Alcoholics Anonymous and is happy to serve as board member for Triangle Stepping Stones. Steven is currently a full time college student and enjoys reading, history, and motorsports.

 

STEVEN RILEE

Steven Rilee has lived and worked in the Williamsburg VA area for 47 years and has been involved with the recovery community since 2002. Over the years Steven has held service positions at a local level for Alcoholics Anonymous and is happy to serve as board member for Triangle Stepping Stones. Steven is currently a full time college student and enjoys reading, history, and motorsports.
